We offer classes for every level, and each class has a minimum of 2 coaches or adult assistants onsite so everyone can get the individual attention they need in a safe and fully inclusive environment.
All classes are first-come, first-served, so please show up 10-15 minutes early and remember to bring sensible sports shoes, water bottle and a towel.
Tuesdays 5.00 PM – 6.30 PM
This is a session hosted by B C Fencing at Havelock North Scout Hall.
Fencers can come herer and free fence or by arrangement get individual lessons
Attendence must be approved in advance.
Thursdays5.30 PM - 7.00 PM
This term we continue to build on the basics you learnt in Term 1 through active and positive reinforcement while gradually involving more advanced physical and mental techniques.
Beginners to the club are given structured, informative and practical training so that they can learn in a manner that will not overwhelm them.
Near the end of each class all fencers fence bouts against fellow club mates.
Winter Club Championship At the end term 2 there is the Winter Club Foil Championship, while this is not mandatory it is encouraged so that fencers get a taste of what a tournament is like in a supportive environment.

Over term 3 with the basics locked in we start to actively explore moderately technical physical and mental techniques while continuing to reinforce the basics.

Term 4 sees you really push home the core skills so that they are locked in and ready to implement on the fencing strip, this term will see you continue to grow your fencing repertoire both mentally and physically .
